This autumn The Antique Wine Company will host a very
special event at Villa San Michele near Florence over the
weekend of the 19th-21st September 2008. Just fifty
of us will share over forty different vintages of the very best
Italian wines ever produced. Together we’ll enjoy great vintages
from from Sassicaia,
Angelo Gaja,
Aldo Conterno, Bruno Giacosa, Ornellaia and
Soldera Case Basse.
The three-day event, set to be one of the major dates in the
international wine calendar, will also include:
- Luxury accommodation at
Villa San Michele, one of the finest hotels in
the world
- Friday Gastronomic Dinner
prepared by Executive Chef Attilio Di Fabrizio, featuring the
greatest wines of Brunello di Montalcino
- Saturday morning Masterclass
featuring the Supertuscans
- Saturday Gastronomic Dinner
with Barolo and Barbaresco dating back to 1959
For those with a less specialised fine wine interest there will also
be:
- a Principles
of Wine Tasting class
- a Tuscan cooking class
presented by Executive Chef Attilio Di Fabrizio
- opportunity
to visit several of the historical and cultural sites in Florence
The cost per person for the weekend in a
superior double room (based on double occupancy) is GBP 2,800 (EUR 3,500
/ USD 5,600) per person. Upgrades are available.
