Vintages of the Dragon

As the final countdown to Chinese New Year begins, we have prepared a special range of wines for your upcoming celebrations. To commemorate this Year of the Dragon we have hand–picked the finest wines from the previous, three Dragon vintages – 2000, 1988 and 1976.

Bordeaux wines produced during the stellar 2000 vintage have continued to develop impressively. After spending more than a decade in bottle, the 2000's are absolutely brilliant. Interestingly, 1988 continues to be one of the better, overlooked Bordeaux vintages of the late 1980s. Therefore, take particular note of the cases of Château Lynch–Bages and Château Haut–Brion included here.

For the final vintage, we have selected Grand Cru Burgundy and Sauternes (namely DRC and Château d'Yquem), as 1976 was a quality year for both regions and producers.
